7.1.5.5.7.1.In matters of compliance with state licensing requirements, the Grievance Committee shall accept complaints from Members or consumers on any alleged license violation by any person or company. If, after investigating the complaint, the Grievance Committee determines that the complaint has merit, it shall follow the provisions of 7.8.3 through 7.8.5. In the event the complaint was received from a consumer, the consumer shall be advised to contact the Department of Business & Professional Regulation’s complaint division. |
Rationale: |
We do not act as the policing agent for the state. Any complaints should be directed to the licensing board, or the appropriate agency, however the association should not be a party in such matters. |
