WELCOME TO AAF CONVENTION 2010!

Dear Members,

The 40^th Annual Alarm Association of Florida Convention is near! 

Now is the time to send your convention registration and make your hotel reservations.  Our headquarters hotel will be The Rosen Plaza at the north end of the convention complex (see additional hotel list below).  We are continuing the tradition of The Hospitality Suite, which will be open Thursday and Friday evening.  On Friday mid-day we will all join together at the President’s Awards Luncheon for the annual MVP presentation in the OCCC complex.

The AAF Security Pavilion is available. If you are an associate member and want to participate now is the time contact Danielle Cushion at EHX and reserve your space. EHX is anticipating thousands of attendees and over 200 exhibitors.

Sponsorship opportunities for the convention are still available. Contact the office for more information or go to the website and download a sponsorship form.  

There will be many new educational opportunities available to our members during the convention at the show. License Holder Classes for the full 14 required hours start on Thursday morning and continue through Friday. Additionally ALL EHX classes are available to AAF registrants at no charge, but you must register through the AAF and specify the classes you want.

The General Assembly will be held on Friday morning at the convention center from 10:00am until 11:30am. Remember, there is important work that must be done at the General Assembly and we need you there for by-laws revisions and Board elections. It is important that you see the Board in action and have your voice heard.  If are unable to attend the general assembly be sure to request an absentee ballot from the AAF office.

This is our 40^th year and the world of professional security has changed in so many ways during this period. The AAF has also changed and we invite you to come out and see the difference with a new direction and purpose. Now more then ever it is important to see what is happening in today’s Alarm Association of Florida.
