Alarm contractors are required to be licensed and or registered in Florida.
This includes burglar alarm, fire alarm, access control and othe
low voltage installations. Consumers should check with the
DBPR (Dept. of Business and Professional Regulation) to verify licensing
status.
A consumer doing business with an "unlicensed" contractor is considered
aiding and abetting unlicensed activity.
